·        Healing the food addict

o       Learn how to recognize strengths and weaknesses in your recovery food program.

o       Identify problem foods and learn how to avoid switching to other addictive foods.

o       Find out how to differentiate between an internal and external locus of control.

o       Discover how other addictive substances and drugs can impact recovery.

·        Educating health professionals

Our goal this year is to develop a Food Addiction Assessment Tool to be accredited by the Society of Food Addiction Professionals based on the APA’s DSM-IV diagnostic criteria for substance dependence.

o       Be a part of creating an accurate, comprehensive, and useful Assessment Tool

o       Provide health professionals with the examples they need to recognize food addiction

o       Take the opportunity to contribute and discuss your experience with stories of the seven diagnostic criteria including tolerance, withdrawal, and consequences.
